The Boathouse

Located in a unique canal-side setting, The Boathouse is a housing complex offering both residential and supporting housing for 20 adults with learning disabilities and complex needs.

The residential part of The Boathouse is home to 8 service users, both male and female, each with their own large, comfortable single room and all boasting very modern en-suite wet rooms. The service also has 12 supported living flats complete with additional, cutting edge technology to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our service users, which, of course, is paramount.

Leisure, shopping and educational facilities are easily accessible from The Boathouse, due to it being in the midst of many excellent bus routes. There are also 3 vehicles, 2 of which are adapted for wheelchair access,  should our service users which to use them to get out and about.  Tamworth town centre is close by and easily accessible.

The supported living flats are attached to the main residential home, where individuals support plans can be delivered more flexibly to meet their needs. Integrated throughout The Boathouse structure is the latest electronic assistive technology to enable people to live with more independence, in a safe and secure and environment.

The Boathouse is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with fully trained and qualified staff. The service is managed by a CQC Registered Manager, a Deputy Manager, 6 Senior Support Workers and a team of Support Workers all dedicated in providing a proactive, meaningful, transitional service, enabling services users to transition to supported living housing.

There is additional on call facilities to access advice or support for both individuals and the staff team.
